Torquay Online is teaming up with the fantastic Route 16 to offer a prize to two lucky Torquay locals.
Route 16 is a recently opened bar and restaurant in Babbacombe that has taken over from the popular Old Coach House. It’s in a lovely location in Babbacombe next to Walls Hill.
The bar has been newly renovated to feel just like an American tavern. I’ve been in there and I was really impressed. There is a huge beer garden complete with a playpark for the kids.
The restaurant has a fantastic menu packed with a mixture of seafood and some more traditional dishes for all of the family to enjoy.
I’ve been especially hearing rave reviews about their ribs. They are cooked on site in their own smoker, which is becoming quite the attraction in the beer garden (see the video below). Make sure you get down and try them out if that’s your thing!
As well as food, there’s a huge selection of drinks available at reasonable prices.
They also regularly host some of the area’s most talented musicians, so if live music is your thing, then head down there and have an enjoyable evening. They also hold other regular fun events.
