I recently spoke to its owner, Dean Storton, and asked him a few questions about the business…
How long has the business been running for?
6 weeks
How did you get into starting the business?
I noticed a need for a mechanic that could save people money through an innovative approach whilst still maintaining high standards of work.
What is the most rewarding part of running your own business?
Being able to genuinely help people.
What has been the most difficult part of it?
The back of house things, and realising that the filing system in my head, that’s always been just fine, isn’t truly effective in real life!
Any plans to expand in the future?
Yes, there is an ultimate goal, but still trying to figure out how it can be achieved and put into practice.
Any advice to young people in the area looking to start a business?
Just go for it! Sometimes we have to take risks to achieve what we want, don’t let people talk you out of something because it doesn’t meet their ideals or expectations for you!
What’s your favourite thing about Torquay?
The diverse and ever changing coastline.
Thanks for answering our questions and good luck for the future of your business!
