**If you run a local business and would like to reach more people throughout Torbay, email us at editor@torquayonline.com. We can help your business achieve more online.**
Although it’s a new year for Torquay Online, we are carrying on doing the same thing we did last year – celebrating local business. Every month, we feature a business man and woman who are doing amazing things in the area.
The first business woman of the month in 2019 goes to Eve Holleran.
As well as being a fully qualified nurse, Eve manages Fresh Look Aesthetics (Facebook page), and although in a fairly new industry, she has built a very loyal following and has some amazing reviews for her work despite only starting out in July 2018.
Fresh Look Aesthetics mainly focus on things such as botox and lip fillers, and you can see in the video below how happy Eve’s customers are…
I recently asked Eve a few questions about what inspired her to start the business. Hopefully her answers will inspire some of you who are looking at starting their own business in Torbay at some point.
Explain a little bit about your business and what you do…
I provide bespoke aesthetic treatments for men and women. This includes anti-wrinkle treatment, dermal fillers, filling nose to mouth lines, mouth to chin lines, lip augmentation and cheek enhancements.
What inspired you to start the business?
I been having these treatments myself for a couple of years, so I looked into how to train in becoming an aesthetic practitioner. Then I just for it, and gained my certification in aesthetics.
I decided this would help generate another income with flexible working hours to fit around my family and my job as a registered nurse.
What’s the most rewarding part of running your business?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is undertaking treatments enhancing people’s natural beauty. I enjoy seeing how happy they are after having treatments performed by me. I love making them feel good about themselves with the services I provide.
What’s the most difficult part of running your business?
Most difficult is keeping on top of social media advertising. This can be very time consuming. With my NHS job and 3 children I sometimes find I don’t keep on top of advertising my business as well as I should. Although I recently signed up to Torquay Online and they have helped me a great deal with getting my business out there.
Are you looking to expand in the future?
Yes eventually. First I need to become an expert in my own field and would like to undertake more learning and courses before I expand my business.
Any advice to someone looking to start their own business?
My advice is keep motivated and stick to your goals. Keep on top of your game and embrace knowledge and learning. Seek mentorship from the experienced business people in your sector.
Thanks a lot to Eve for answering our questions. You can find her and Fresh Look Aesthetics on Facebook here to enquire about any services you might want…
