Welcome to May! It’s now been a full year since we started our Torbay directory which I’m proud to say is now full of local businesses for anyone looking for any kind of service.
Due to a few unforseen circumstances, we weren’t able to name a businessman and woman of the month for April. However, those circumstances are now gone, so this is the post for May’s business man of the month.
This month’s business man of the month is Gaz Crocker.
Gaz runs Complete Property Maintenance (Facebook page), who, like their name suggests, can do pretty much anything around the home. It’s been running for three years and has a number of great reviews from people all across Torbay. They can be found on the property maintenance page on our local directory.

I recently asked Gaz a few questions about running his business. Here’s what he said…
What made you want to start your own business?
I Started my own business as I wanted to be my own boss and build something.
What’s the most rewarding part of running your business?
The most rewarding part is seeing the finished end product of a job and a satisfied customer.
What’s the most difficult part of running your business?
The most difficult part is all the extra out of work stuff that nobody sees. Things like invoicing and quoting take a lot more time to do than people think.
What are Complete Property Maintenance’s plans for the future?
The next stage is to take somebody on to help with workload.
Any advice to young people looking to go into business in Torquay?
My advice to young people starting a business is always turn up to appointments on time and generally be reliable.
What’s your favourite thing about Torquay?
My favourite thing about Torquay is being by the sea and living somewhere chilled out.
